Airworthiness Directives; De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited (Type Certificate Previously Held by Bombardier, Inc.) Airplanes

Official abstract: The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited Model DHC-8 airplanes. This AD was prompted by reports of cracked barrel nuts at the wing front spar and horizontal stabilizer to vertical stabilizer joint. This AD requires repetitive inspections for cracking and corrosion of the affected barrel nuts and applicable corrective actions. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
