Palisades Energy, LLC; Palisades Nuclear Plant; Exemption

Official abstract: The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has issued an exemption in response to a request dated May 27, 2026, as supplemented on June 4, 2026, and June 13, 2026, from Palisades Energy, LLC. The exemption authorizes a one-time exemption for the Palisades Nuclear Plant to allow the use of the less restrictive work hour limitations described in the NRC regulations until 9 days before the start of the unit's initial fuel load into the reactor for various covered individuals as described in the exemption.
