World Trade Center Health Program; Petitions 024, 042, 046, 047, 051, 056, 058, and 067-Ischemic Heart Disease; Finding of Insufficient Evidence

Official abstract: The Administrator of the World Trade Center Health Program received eight petitions (Petitions 024, 042, 046, 047, 051, 056, 058, and 067) to add conditions under the broad category of ischemic heart disease to the List of WTC-Related Health Conditions. Upon reviewing the literature, including information provided by petitioners, the Administrator has determined that there is insufficient evidence to support taking further action at this time regarding ischemic heart disease. The Administrator finds insufficient evidence exists to request a recommendation of the WTC Health Program Scientific/Technical Advisory Committee, publish a proposed rule, or publish a determination not to publish a proposed rule.
