Bacillus thuringiensis eCry1Gb.1Ig Protein; Exemption From the Requirement of a Pesticide Tolerance

Official abstract: This regulation establishes an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of Bacillus thuringiensis eCry1Gb.1Ig protein in or on the food and feed commodities of corn, field; corn, sweet; and corn, pop when used as a plant-incorporated protectant (PIP) in corn. Syngenta Seeds, LLC submitted a petition to EPA under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA) requesting an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance. This regulation eliminates the need to establish a maximum permissible level for residues of eCry1Gb.1Ig protein under FFDCA when used in accordance with the terms of the exemption.
