Palisades Energy, LLC; Palisades Nuclear Plant; Exemption

Official abstract: The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has issued an exemption in response to a request dated July 10, 2026, as supplemented by letter dated July 30, 2026, from Palisades Energy, LLC. The exemption authorizes a one-time exemption to allow Operations personnel use of the less restrictive work hour limitations described in NRC regulations for a period of no more than 60 days commencing upon core reload, or until Palisades is connected to the electrical grid, whichever occurs first.
