SMR, LLC; Palisades SMR, LLC; Pioneer Units 1 and 2; Phased Construction Permit Application-Limited Work Authorization

Official abstract: The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is providing public notice each week, for four consecutive weeks, beginning October 1, 2026, of receipt and availability of the first part of a phased construction permit application, including a limited work authorization (LWA) request, from SMR, LLC, on behalf of Palisades SMR, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Holtec International (collectively, Holtec), for a dual-unit SMR-300 plant located at the Palisades Energy Center (PEC) in Covert, Michigan. The units are individually named Pioneer Unit 1 and Pioneer Unit 2. This is the first of four consecutive weekly notifications.
