Privacy Act of 1974; Systems of Records

Official abstract: Pursuant to the Privacy Act of 1974 and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular No. A-108, notice is hereby given that the Office of the Pardon Attorney (PARDON), a component within the United States Department of Justice (DOJ or Department), proposes to develop a new system of records titled Firearms Rights Restoration Electronic Records Database (FRRERD), JUSTICE/OPA-002. The proposed system of records will be used to receive, track, and adjudicate applications to restore federal firearms rights pursuant to 18 U.S.C. 925(c) and 28 CFR 107.1 et seq.
