Request for Information; Reopening of Comment Period

Official abstract: The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) published in the Federal Register a request for information (RFI) regarding new and unused (idle) domestic, U.S.-based, and near shore production capabilities for Finished Dose Forms, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients, and Key Starting Materials associated with the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) 86 List of essential medicines. The RFI provided for a 30-day response period which closed on October 26, 2026. OMB has determined that reopening the comment period until November 27, 2026, is appropriate. This action will allow interested parties additional time to prepare information and responses.
